Soapstone is defined to be a metamorphic rock which is a rock that has been changed by extreme heat and pressure. Soapstone consist of two different stones, known as Talc and Steatite. Talc is the softest material on earth, particularly used to manufacture all cosmetics, sculptures, toothpaste, chewing gum, baby powder and more. The other type of soapstone is called steatite, which is a material used for flooring, sinks, countertops, and more.
